The 2026 ICFSR Research Conference: A Summary of Presentations by Johns Hopkins Researchers, Collaborators, and Frailty Working Group Colleagues

The 16th Annual Intrinsic Capacity, Frailty, and Sarcopenia Research Conference took place on March 10-12, 2026 at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC. The Johns Hopkins Older Americans Independence Center and the Artificial Intelligence and Technology Collaboratory for Aging Research co-hosted the event. Researchers from Johns Hopkins and their collaborators, as well as colleagues from the JHU Frailty Working Group, led more 40 symposia, oral presentations, and poster presentations. Junior faculty and students from JHU were recognized during the Rising Star sessions, and more than a dozen students and scholars supported the conference sessions as ambassadors. Notably, the annual lifetime recognition award was renamed as the ICFSR Jeremy D. Walston Lifetime Achievement Award in honor of Dr. Walston’s towering contributions to the field of frailty research.
